Yeah! I'm so glad to finally be getting up a photo of my Ouka cosplay, and one from the skit I entered it in no less! I was so giddy when I saw this photo, I knew I just had to get it up as soon as possible. I'm lucky in that I have remdragon8 on Tumblr to thank for this photo. They were kind enough to send it to me and I can't thank them enough for it! I loved it!

But yeah! Ouka! I had wanted to make her ballgown for a while (first cosplay from 07 Ghost that wasn't Frau in a while, lol). It was just so pretty and stunning. Beautifully modest, intricate, and elegant. I just loved it. So I decided after Otakon that it was a must. I told my friend about it and thus this whole plan came into play and we decided to enter the Katsucon 19 Masquerade (totally against my better judgement because being on stage terrifies me now XD) But we made it through and now I can't wait to do it again!


This shot was of the climax of the Masquerade in which Ouka rips off Teito's wing while she's possessed by the brainwashed Eye of Raphael. Gah, every time we talked about it, I wanted to cry. So. evenstar1 and I were the brainchilds behind the majority of the skit's costumes. She made Teito, the Eyes of Raphael and Mikhail and the wings for both Ouka and Teito (so they'd match) and I was responsible for Ouka and Frau in that skit (along with his scythe that's not pictured here that Iwillonedayactuallygetapictureoftoputuphere -grumbles at self-).

Ouka's gown, wig, and hair pieces was completely hand-made by me. She was legit my project for the past several months (most of which just involved me getting everything for her). She took a month and a half to make once I had everything for her. Underneath her gown, I wore an 8 layered petticoat and gold sparkled peep-toe shoes.

I loved her to death and can't wait to wear her again at another con or for another shoot. She was a wonderful project and I loved the result. Anyway, I hope you like it!
