"Have his shoulders always been that broad?” - Winry Rockbell from "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood"
Another one, because I very much love Fullmetal. I was super excited to have a Winry for Otakon and some of my favorites of this shoot were with this character dynamic. I love how it’s almost never stated, but you can tell that slowly, the two fall for each other and care immensely for the other and for the other’s safety.
Ironically, normally I’m the one being driven up a wall and retreating into a corner when we do cosplays (as we normally go with me as Kurogane and her as Fai from Tsubasa), but this time around, Ed scared Winry with his broad shoulders (aka, she fangirled and didn’t know what to do, lol). But I was so happy because we worked so well together when it came to the Edward and Winry dynamic for photos. Lostdreamz82 nailed Winry’s personality, with her slightly scary wrench (which she probably almost hit me with several times ), but also her caring and sweet side as well. As for me, I think I got Ed’s personality down, but I’ll leave that for you to decide. But yeah, I was really happy with the resulting photos that we got.
Both cosplays were made by those who modeled them respectively. I made Ed’s outfit entirely from scratch, Automail included, which I made specifically to fit my body. I also made the spear with the help of my friend Jeff, who basically helped make it to be as strong as steel (aka, unbreakable) lol.
Anyway, hope you like them!

Lol, glad you like it! I made the arm out of various flexible materials, things I was familiar with and lots of hot glue (my burned finger tips are proof of that, I seriously needed a new hand once I was done )
